HILL OF VISION

I assisted the set decorator for a film depicting the life of Mario Capecchi, the Nobel laureate in Medicine in 2007, who is still alive. The film portrays his incredibly wild childhood in Alto Adige. After rediscovering his mother, who had long been confined in a concentration camp, they relocate to America, where he was born. It is there that Mario develops a passionate interest in physics and chemistry, subjects he diligently continues to study. The entire film was shot in Alto Adige and serves as a historical portrayal, allowing me to experience life in 1950s America and a war-torn Italy devastated by bombings.
